This Space, Explained.

I didn’t create this page with a plan, a strategy, or a finished version of myself in mind.
I created it because I needed a place to land.
A place that didn’t require me to know exactly where I’m going, what this will become, or how it should be categorized. Somewhere I could show up as I am — in motion, evolving, figuring things out in real time.
For a long time, I felt pressure to contain myself. To decide who I was, what I stood for, and what the end result should look like before I ever began. But life doesn’t really work that way — at least not for me. Growth isn’t linear. Creativity isn’t tidy. And becoming isn’t something that happens once and then stops.
This page exists as an outlet — a place that feels like home in a way other platforms no longer do. Unlike Instagram or Facebook, where I built my following years ago, this space doesn’t feel constricting. I’m no longer the young woman who created those pages. I’m here now with a different pace — more calm, more intentional — exploring new places in life. This is a space to write, reflect, share, and grow without needing to arrive, and to show up in a way that feels honest to who I am now.
It’s not meant to be one thing. It’s allowed to change. It’s allowed to hold different seasons, thoughts, and expressions — sometimes quietly, sometimes imperfectly.
I don’t know exactly what this space will evolve into, and I’m comfortable with that. What I do know is that I wanted something that felt honest. Something that left room. Something that didn’t rush the process or demand clarity before it was ready.
That intention is woven into everything here — especially the logo.
The Meaning Behind the Monogram

The heart is open by design. It reflects a choice to live without containing myself — staying open to growth, change, and becoming, even when the path isn’t clear. It leaves room for different journeys, for individuality, and for moving through life in our own way. This mark represents a commitment to live openly, create honestly, and allow life to evolve without closing myself off.
This space is an extension of that choice.
And for now, that’s enough.

Exquisite. Can’t wait to follow along. Xo
You write beautifully, Shayla. I look forward to learning more about you. I appreciate what you have shared on social media. I find your reflection on life events, career, and family often challenges me to think and reflect on my own life. Or, I will read a quote posted that perfectly describes a feeling I have - only to look at who posted it and find it was YOU! Congratulations on your new platform, there is nothing you can’t do!
Along for the ride. Good luck! Xo
